Meet Mark

Managing Director

Director of George Weston Foods (NZ) Ltd
Director of Allied Foods (NZ) Ltd

Mark has over 30 years of FMCG, Dairy, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Equipment with global leaders such as Novartis (Pharma and Consumer Health), Yakult, Heinz-Watties and Elekta (Nucletron) as well as a stint with New Zealand Rugby.

Mark has spent much of his career working overseas in Europe, Asia and the Middle East and has completed various Executive Finance and Strategy courses with Harvard Business School (Boston, USA), INSEAD (Fontainebleu, France) and IMD (Lausanne, Switzerland.)

“One of the things I missed the most when I lived overseas was the great Kiwi pie. Big Ben® was and still is my favourite and as well as my formal position in GWF, I am also a keen pie taster and target consumer for the samples coming from the NPD & Marketing departments. I love the products and the brand."

David Dimes

Meet David

General Manager Finance

David has over 23 years of FMCG experience. First working for 15 years with United Biscuits in the UK across a wide variety of roles. In 2010 David joined Associated British Foods (ABF) in the UK as Head of Commercial Finance for Allied Bakeries. As ABF is a decentralised global business, David was able to expand his Career and stay within the ABF network while achieving his ambition of a global move. In 2011 David relocated to Australia joining George Weston Foods Australia, in the Tip Top® Division as Operation Finance Manager.

In 2014 an opportunity arose for David to transfer to George Weston Foods NZ, Baking Division where he took the role of General Manager Finance joining the New Zealand Executive Leadership Team.

Victoria McCrea

Meet Victoria

General Manager Marketing & Innovation

Victoria has over 15 years of marketing experience of turning categories around and delivering share increases and profit gains within financial services, FMCG and the entertainment industry. Victoria has lead the development of brands such as KPMG, Edmonds, Paul Newman’s Own and TAB with majority of her experience working for Goodman Fielder for nine years on both sides of the Tasman.

Victoria has a Bachelor of Business with Honours and whilst living in Sydney, Victoria was selected for one of 30 spots by the Marketing Academy of Australia from over 300 nominations.

Geoff Hutt

Meet Geoff

General Manager Sales

Geoff began his FMCG career with Unilever in 1996 and advanced through various senior sales positions within the Nestle group, including a 6-year stint as Global Director of Customer and Category Development in the United States. Geoff has triplets and says they are always eager to sample our new innovation. “They are particularly fond of Golden Crumpets!"

Steve Stupovski

Meet Steve

General Manager Operations

Steve has 20+ years of senior Manufacturing and Supply chain experience gained in high volume food, dairy and beverage industries in New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia. His most recent experience includes Fonterra in both NZ and Malaysia in the roles of Southern Operational Excellence Manager and Operations Director Malaysia respectively, as well as for Frucor in Auckland as National Manufacturing Manager.

Steve is a highly passionate professional in the Safety space, with a proven track record leading large complex multi-site manufacturing and supply chain teams. This experience is complemented with tertiary studies in Applied Chemistry and Business.

“Steve loves our Golden Crumpets all year round, as there are so many ways and occasions for him and his family to enjoy them. He loves them with a thin spread of vegemite, or topped with melted cheese (a great cheese toastie for breakfast) or with his favourite strawberry jam as an afternoon snack.”

Kirsty Cels

Meet Kirsty

People and Performance Manager

Prior to joining GWF Kirsty had an extensive career in Executive Search, specialising in recruitment for the FMCG industry. For over 15 years’ Kirsty helped businesses find the best leadership talent to help the FMCG industry thrive. It wasn’t until Kirsty’s personal growth journey took her back to University to complete her Master of Business Administration (MBA), that Kirsty realised that there was an appetite to make the change to working client side in a FMCG Human Resources team.

Kirsty made the transition from the Executive Search industry to working for George Weston Foods, Baking Division in 2016. Kirsty first joined GWF as a People and Performance Business Partner and recently taken on the People and Performance Manager role and now sits on the George Weston Foods Executive Leadership Team.

Sue Mills

Meet Sue

National Health, Safety and Environment Manager

Sue has over 25 years of HSE experience in Manufacturing, Dairy, Electrical Supply and Baking with leading businesses in New Zealand and Australia. Fonterra, Western Power and George Weston Foods. With a background in Occupational Health Sue has also worked as an Occupational Health consultant across the Waikato and Bay of Plenty area.

Sue has a strong commitment to improving Health and Safety for all, through leadership, sharing of knowledge and collaboration, utilising the skills of the shop floor teams to identify and control risks to people at work.
